Iconic Carnegie Deli Temporarily Returns With 99-Cent Sandwiches

Nearly two years after closing its doors, New York’s legendary Carnegie Deli will re-open for a limited time. Why? It’s a promotion for Emmy-winning series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which is returning for a second season on December 5th on Amazon Prime Video.

The pop-up is a collaboration between the deli’s former owners and the show's production team. The pop-up promises to transport patrons back to the 50s. (The show takes place in 1950s New York City.)

"While it may be 2018 on the outside, it's 1958 on the inside -- the decor, the jukebox, the photobooth and even the menu," the pop-up's website says.

The deli will serve original sandwiches named after the show’s main characters, as well as cheesecake, mini knish and black and white cookies.

Reservations are sold out; however, you can stroll up to the take-out counter from 11:30am-8pm from December 1st to December 8th. All of the proceeds go to the Lower East Side Girls Club.

The pop-up restaurant will be located at 201 Lafayette Pl.
