About Ippudo NY

Located in East Village between 65 Fourth Avenue (Between 9th and 10th Street) Ippudo NY is a Japanese restaurant specializing in ramen. Founded in Japan the East Village location was opened in 2008 and is one of many international locations. Ramen is a food with a rich history in Japan and it offers a great deal of variety allowing diners the opportunity to enjoy unique dishes that suit their palate. Ippudo NY is focused on creating ramen dishes that are enjoyed by local residents, travelers, and guests from around the world.     

The Menu

Drinks: Ippudo NY has a wide selection of beer, wines, cocktails, and whiskeys. Japanese beverages include such choices as shochu, Japanese whiskeys, plum wine, and various types of sake such as Nigori Sake, Daiginjo, Ginjo, and Junmai. Non-alcoholic drinks such as sodas, fruit juices, and teas are also available.

Appetizers: include lighter food offerings such as steamed soybeans, chilled vegetables, fried peppers, steamed buns with a choice of chicken, pork, or a mix of eggplant and eringi mushrooms, a mixed green salad, fried chicken wings, sashimi, and other options.  

Specialty Appetizers: include unique vegetable and meat dining options such as marinated chicken, broccoli and cauliflower, tofu and eggplant dashi (soup), grilled octopus, fried shrimp, simmered duck breast, grilled cod, and more.    

Ramen: naturally being a ramen restaurant all of the main focus at Ippudo NY are ramen based. Dishes include but are not limited to:

  • Pork ramen with pork loin, mushrooms, menma (bamboo shoots), red pickled ginger, and scallions.

  • Pork ramen with miso paste, pork chashu (marinated braised pork belly), and mushrooms.

  • Spicy pork ramen with cabbage, pork chashu, minced pork, mushrooms, and garlic.  

  • Chicken and pork ramen with pork chashu, menma, minced onion and arako chili pepper.

  • A wasabi ramen made from vegetable and soy sauce base and topped with bean curd, wasabi, menma, nori (seaweed), tempura flakes, scallions, and wasabi infused oil.

  • Extra noodles are also available upon request.

Toppings: are also an important part of any ramen dish and Ippudo NY has a variety of options for your ramen bowl including a seasoned soft boiled egg, a poached egg, pickled mustard leaves, bamboo shoots, chashu pork, pulled pork, and an in house spicy paste.    


Ippudo NY is open seven days a week at the following hours: 11:00 am to 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm Monday through Thursday, 11:00 am to 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 12:30 am on Fridays, 11:00 am to 11:30 pm on Saturday, and 11:00 am to 10:30 pm on Sundays.
