From the classic lounge stylings of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, to fun twists on popular modern hits, Double Down plays the songs you know and love. The band’s original style fuses together their fresh, bold talents with a tribute to the songs of yesteryear. Beyond playing the classics that everybody loves, Double Down incorporates a varied range of music to ensure that all of their performances are unique and exciting, including from Billy Joel to Motorhead, from Nirvana to Usher.
The band consists of six members: John Kozan is the vocalist and plays trombone, and has also been featured as a singer on HBO's The Sopranos. The band's saxophone player, Kyle Schweizer, has also played with numerous respectable musicians and is also making waves as an arranger/composer. Clynt Yerkes, the trumpet player, has experience touring with jazz, swing, and R&B bands. The guitarist, Branden Palmer, is a versatile multi-instrumentalist who runs his own teaching studio in Brooklyn. Adam Kabak, who plays bass, has been playing double bass for 17 years. Drummer Alex Wyatt performs in numerous Jazz groups and graduated The New School for Jazz.
