About The Equinox
Equinox is a world class fitness studio focused on scientifically supported training. Their proven training methods cover an assortment of cardio, strength, and flexibility enhancing training methods. With a varied selection of exercises it is easy to find a workout plan that suits your fitness goals. Equinox has locations worldwide with 70 across the United States and 36 clubs in New York alone. For the purposes of this article we will focus on the local Equinox studio in Flatiron on 897 Broadway.
The Equinox at Flatiron has a wide variety of training classes available including (but not limited to) the following:
Deep Extreme: is a conditioning class based off of barefoot cardio exercises. It makes use of breathing exercises and body weight resistance to improve cardio and flexibility. This class is suitable for all fitness levels.
Full Body Fireworks: is an all levels full body workout focused on strength training and improving endurance.
EQX Barre Burn: is an all levels balanced barre workout that builds cardio, strength, and flexibility without overly focusing on one area.
Freedom Ride: is an indoor cycling course designed to build strength and cardio. A high impact course it is also designed to burn calories.
30/60/90: is a challenging course that blends several different types of exercises to build strength and cardio along with building muscle and improving your physique. While challenging it is able to modified to fit your fitness needs.
Metcon3: is a metabolic training course that focuses on cardio, strength, and burning off fat.
Stars And Stripes Yoga: builds your strength and flexibility by focusing on your breath through various poses and techniques.
Vinyasa Yoga: is an athletic yoga course focused on flowing form and breathing exercises. It is suitable for all experience levels.
Other exercise classes include dance, running, Pilates, kickboxing, and more.
The Equinox offers two basic packages that makes pricing relatively easy to understand. Membership fees for your local Equinox studio is $210 per month with a one time initiation fee of $50 to join. An All Access membership costs $230 per month with a one time initiation fee of $100 to join. The difference between the two membership levels is that the All Access membership is a universal membership allowing access to the nearly 70 Equinox clubs across the nation; while a standard membership is for your preferred local location. Both levels of membership have access to all club amenities and classes.
The Equinox at Flatiron is open during the following hours: Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm, Fridays from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm, and Weekends from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Hours are modified on Holidays as per need.
