Lil' Frankies belongs to a family of restaurants in the New York City area. Each restaurant in this family of three offers something different and Lil' Frankie's is known for its Neapolitan pizza, fresh pasta, and other delicious surprises.

Located right between the East Village and the Lower East Side on 1st Avenue in New York, Little Frankies is different to some of the other pizza places you will find in New York. Based on Italian pizzeria's this restaurant is a place to meet with friends, eat good food and relax.

Eating at Lil' Frankies

Something else makes these pizzas stand out and that is what they are cooked in. The restaurants brick wood burning oven was created by a 3rd generation Neapolitan oven builder, in fact, it was handcrafted. It has a double dome design and features real lava. This oven combined with fresh ingredients makes some of the most delicious Neapolitan pizza you can find outside of Naples.

Eating at Lil' Frankies is a great experience. The owners and staff encourage you to take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, mingle with friends and get to know their friendly staff. With appetizers like antipasto plates, Ricotta di Bufala, and whole fire roasted eggplant, you will want to start slow and enjoy every bite.

Food

Once you have enjoyed a fresh appetizer, the pizza is a must. With 15 pizzas on the menu, you are sure to find something you like. If you love simple yet fresh style pizzas, try a Bianca. Bianca places rosemary, olive oil, truffle oil and sea salt together to create a delicious light tasting pizza. If you l like a little more on your pizza order up a Diavola. Diavola brings Salame Picante, roasted red peppers, marinara, peperoncino, garlic, oregano, mozzarella, parsley, ricotta, spinach and fontina cheese together for one unforgettable pizza.

So while this place is a pizza empire they do have other Italian dishes including Chicken Parmigiana, fresh handmade pasta and wood roasted chicken with mashed potatoes. Whatever you choose to indulge in be sure to wash it down with a glass or bottle of wine. Lil Frankie's wine list is varied and includes a sweet dessert wine for those that like their wine sweet and smooth.

Don't eat too much yet though because dessert is waiting. You could always go with something light like a fresh fruit plate but can you really go past the fresh homemade Tiramisu or Nutella Focaccino? They also have homemade ice cream and sorbets. 

Lil Frankie's offers a brunch on the weekends too with drink specials before 4 pm, they also have a specials menu on weekdays that changes regularly.

With so much delicious food on the menu, a laid back and friendly atmosphere and great staff, this restaurant just a short walk from Stuyvesant Town is worth a visit for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch.
