This yoga studio is all about working hard and playing hard. The classes, led by the best instructors around, are open to yogis of all levels. If you have never tried a Bikram yoga class, there is no need to worry, as the instructors will expertly guide you through the class and make you feel right at home.
Each class is an hour and a half long, takes place in a heated room, and goes through a series of 26 poses and 2 deep breathing exercises. Some of these poses include half moon pose, eagle pose, triangle pose, tree, cobra, camel pose, and spine twisting. The heat aids in stimulating your cardiovascular system and permits your body to sweat, detoxify, and loosen up.
Bikram Yoga Lower East Side offers a special introductory package to all new participants. For just $25, you get one week of unlimited classes. Aside from the traditional 90-minute Bikram yoga class, there is also a 60-minute Bikram Method class that is also offered.
There are several classes that take place each day. During the week, the first class starts at 6:30 a.m., and on the weekends, the first class begins at 8:00 a.m. The last class during the week starts at 8:15 a.m., and on the weekends, the last class is at 6:00 p.m.
Every first Friday of the month, a special class, Nite Sweats, is offered. In this 10:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. class, Bikram Yoga Lower East Side is turned into this yoga studio's version of a hot nightclub. Under the hot pink lights, attendees dance the class away while listening to an amazing selection of dance music. Not only is this once-a-month class an incredible time, it is also for a great cause. Your minimum $10 donation goes to support the Lower Eastside Girls Club.

It is recommended that you sign up for classes in advance, but if you do not, make sure to show up early. It is important that you hydrate before and after class, and it is suggested that you do not eat a big meal just before class. Also, wear something appropriate for a hot, summer day, such as spandex, so that it will not become see through as you sweat.
Bikram Yoga Lower East Side is located at 172 Allen Street on the 2nd floor and is located just over a mile and a half away from our apartment complex. Here you will find showers with hot water in the locker rooms, as well as towels and yoga mats for rent. Beverages to help you stay hydrated, such as coconut water, electrolytes, and water, are also available for purchase.
