Thursday, June 15th at 6 & 7pm: Melody Giron Cello Duo (classical, pop)
Melody Giron is accomplished an acclaimed cellist, having performed around the world for the better part of two decades. She has shared stages with Stevie Wonder and Ed Sheeran, performed in Edward Albee’s The Sandbox at the Signature Theatre Company, and has been featured in TV productions and commercials. Rescheduled due to rain, singer-songwriter - and longtime StuyTown resident - Jeff Slate is an internationally know recording artist and writer. He has performed with Pete Townshend of The Who, Sheryl Crow and countless other rock luminaries. His band with David Bowie sideman Earl Slick, and his current band Jeff Slate & Friends, are both mainstays of the Northeast music scene. As a solo performer he has played all over the world, from St. George's Hall in Liverpool to Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco. His music has appeared on the BBC and in shows like Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. Jeff also writes about music for Esquire, contributed liner notes to the 50th anniversary edition of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and is the author of the forthcoming authorized Roy Orbison biography.
