Union Square is famous for its farmer’s market established by Grow NYC, which is held on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays from 8:00am to 6:00pm, all year round. Union Square’s Holiday Market is held November 23rd through to December 24th and features booths selling anything from jewelry, to clothing, and even food. In the center of Union Square is a statue of President George Washington which was unveiled in 1856.
