A New York City native, Leo Gelalis began his real estate career while attending Parsons the New School for Design. Real Estate provided an opportunity to apply aspects of his creative background and learn valuable sales and costumer experience skills. What started as intrigue became a passion, and led Leo to explore multiple facets of the NYC real estate market, ranging from direct sales in Manhattan, to property management in Queens.
Leo joined StuyTown from his previous role as Client Consultant for CityRealty.com, where his goal was to utilize technology and data to guide and educate buyers and renters on the nuances of the New York City market. Through collaborating with some of the top real estate professionals across the industry, he witnessed firsthand how real estate has evolved in the last few years, from a product-centric industry to a client-centric industry. He learned the importance of honesty, communication, and crafting a seamless client experience from the initial search to closing.
It is at StuyTown that Leo saw the opportunity to align his principles with an organization that among other things, prides themselves on patience, procedure, consistency, and most importantly, the philosophy that a positive client experience goes well beyond lease signing.
When Leo isn’t helping renters find their perfect home within StuyTown, he can usually be found in Astoria, enjoying a coffee with friends, painting illustrations, or indulging in the plethora of cuisines New York has to offer.
