Please Don’t Tell (temporarily closed) at 113 Saint Marks Place is about as close to experiencing a real speakeasy as you can get. You enter through a vintage phone booth within Crif Dogs, a hot dog shop known for their deep-fried Jersey-style franks. Once inside, you can enjoy some high-quality mixed drinks and a hot dog or two. Mixologist Kim Meehan perfects classic cocktails and serves original creations such as an Old Fashion made from bacon-infused bourbon and maple syrup.

Holiday Cocktail Lounge was once a classic dive frequented by Allen Ginsberg, Joey Ramone and Frank Sinatra that now has a wholly redone space. The cocktail menu includes a selection of inexpensive beer and shot combos and cocktails that are served at a horseshoe-shaped bar.
Death and Company is a high-end speakeasy that is responsible for launching the careers of many of NYC’s most prominent bartenders. The spot is known for its signature cocktails, including an Old Fashioned reinvented with reposado tequila, mezcal, and flaming orange.
McSorley’s Old Ale House is a traditional Irish bar with Irish bartenders and sawdust on the floor. It is the oldest “Irish Tavern” in NYC that has remained authentic. It only provides two ale choices to its customers: McSorley’s Dark Ale and McSorley’s light ale.
